A few things about Ringette!

Ringette was started in Ontario,
Canada in 1963!

Ringette is the fastest game on ice. Shot clocks are used to keep teams moving the ring. You have 30 seconds to take a shot, or your team looses possession!

In ringette, the ring needs to be passed over the blue lines! And no, you can't pass to yourself, it's a true "team sport!"
Ringette lines - red lines above the cirlces in the offensive/defensive zone - only 3 players from each team are allowed in this area!

Ringette sticks aren't just cut off hockey sticks! They have special ribbed tips on them to help control the ring and take powerful shots.
Ringette masks are uniuqe because of their triangles. This prevents sticks from going though the mask and protects players.

Ringette has two 20 min periods.
Goalies can play the ring and pass to players. No one allowed in the
crease except the goalie.

2 defence,1 center, 2 forwards on the ice at once.

All of the SRA coaches have years of ringette expereince and are excited to bring ringette to Smithers!
Ringette has a 100% Chance of Fun!
